Hilton oddsmaker: Oklahoma State would have been double-digit dog against LSU
by BEYONDTHEBETS on DECEMBER 5, 2011

It’s early December, so now’s the time of year that college football fans set aside to argue about a BCS system that’s clearly flawed, even though we’ve known that for years but it hasn’t changed anything.

Proponents of the BCS always bring up the same thought: It’s designed to pit the country’s two best teams against each other.

Well, duh.

The problem, of course, is that we’ll never know for sure who the two best teams are without a playoff. Until then,... More...

Report: ?Better Than 50 Percent Chance? Peyton Manning Retires
NFL, PEYTON MANNING | COMMENTS

Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has missed this entire season while recovering from neck surgery. Much of the discussion has centered around if he should return at the end of this year ? if available ? and if the team should consider drafting a top QB in the draft to groom under Manning in his final years. According to a report from Chris Myers of Fox Sports tweeted by Ben Maller of Fox Sports Radio, Myers feels there there is ?better than 50% chance he retires.?

Quit fooling yourselves w/ Cowher, Tomlin. LeBeau is the reason they go to SBs.

February 5, 2011 by The Seer
LeBeau's had a previous stint as Steeler's D-coordinator in '95 & '96. In '95 they played in the Super Bowl. LeBeau then left after '97 season. Cowher failed to make the playoffs 5 out of the next 7 years. LeBeau comes back in as D-coordinator in 2004 & they get to the AFC title game & all of a sudden the 2005 team wins the SB. Cowher retires the next year. Tomlin was a defensive backs coach for 5 years at Tampa. He went to Minny & was a D-coordinator for 1 whole year... More...

Here's why running the football in the NFL is a joke argument

January 23, 2011 by The Seer
I've posted this several times before but it seems people have trouble fathoming it. With all of the talking heads on TV talking about it so much, people feel the need to repeat it & the main necessary ingredient for victory or to sound "smart". The fact is, IT IS NOT. NFL is very different than other levels of football in that many NFL QBs can beat you without a running game. All they need is some rushing attempts to set up play action.
Let's look at these FACTS:
-For the 2010 season GB averaged 3.8 yds per carry & Chi 3.9... More...

not sure why all of the love for Cowher

December 27, 2010 by The Seer
I guess the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm NOT SAYING he is a bad coach but he is no Vince Lombardi. It took Cowher 14 years to win the Superbowl after some major chokes in the playoffs with superior teams, especially vs New England & San Diego. The lone Superbowl win was the most lopsided reffed game in SB history with every call in favor of Pitt. The next season with a Superbowl team he went 8-8 & retired. At that rate, Tomlin is a better coach, so is Gruden and even Tom Coughlin (who people want him to replace). I do think he would be an upgrade in Houston. However, Miami needs a QB, not a new head coach. Nobody can keep Chad Henne from being a disaster and he wouldn't do any better than Coughlin at NY. Sure, Cowher won a Superbowl & you can't take that away from him but so have some other guys out there.

If you want to see his record: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bill_Cowher#Head_coaching_record
